PFC #12 Glam to Work & BDIB Sequins

This is the first time that I’ve done a Petite Fashion Challenge hosted by the lovely Khatu, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Her challenge was to take an outfit from glam to day-wear and bonus points if we could turn it into work-appropriate attire.

I also happened upon my newest blog love “Pretty Shiny Sparkly” where Kristina puts out a series of challenges titled Bloggers Do It Better and the latest theme challenge is Sequins. So, to kill to birds with one stone, I decided to pull two challenges into one post with this outfit below. I just love when things fall into place so nicely. ^_^

The temperature this past Monday decided to drop from mid-50 degrees to oh, let’s just say beyond-freezing-cold degrees, so forgive me for looking chilly in the photos. =P

Glam Outfit:

H&M winter coat; AX tuxedo blazer (similar); F21 purple blouse (old) and gold sequin skirt (similar); F21 black tights; Nine West booties (similar); caterpillar necklace from Bar III; Amrita Singh Shearwater cuff; Chanel medium bag in black caviar

Work Outfit:

H&M winter coat; J. Crew ruffle cardigan (similar); F21 purple blouse (old); Express Editor pants (similar); BCBG satchel (similar); Enzo Angiolini booties (similar); Target leopard belt (similar) and gold watch (similar); caterpillar necklace from Bar III and Amrita Singh Shearwater cuff

As you can see, my Bar III caterpillar necklace came out to play again – love the versatility of this necklace! You can also see how I styled this necklace here and here. You can also see that I kept a lot of my accessories from my glam outfit into work, which I typically don’t wear that many accessories to work. I had a lot of fun pulling these outfits together for the challenges. Hopefully this post gives you an idea of how to style an outfit from glam to work for the woman-on-the-go. Thanks so much for reading!
