Work Haul

I can't believe that I have a work haul but yes here it is. Occasionally, one of the groups at work would host a clearanced blow-out sale bc we've either overstocked on items for our catalog/newsletter promotions or they weren't fast movers for us. Therefore, what better way to do that than to sell them to the employees. Supplements actually make up for the biggest part of our company and I can always request for free ones that I send to my family and hubby's family, which reminds me, I need to put in a request for Omega fish oils. Eye dr says I should take more of that to help with my dry eye problem from wearing contacts so often.

Anywho, we have branched out into other health products and now carry alot of organic products so yay, no need to go to wholefoods to get organic foods. =) I actually talk to vendors directly on half the products below to negotiate the lowest prices for my company. If I do my job right, the better the price of the products means a better deal for the employees since we only have to pay a little bit above cost for them. For example, I can get the Mario Badescu drying lotion for $9 (retail $20) and Rapidlash serum for $22 (retail $50) respectively. Not too shabby. =) I didn't negotiate the drying lotion, but I did negotiate the rapidlash serum. hehe. Anywho, here's the loot:

All this for $23

6 Lavera Makeup fluid No. 2 Light for $1 each (retail prob $20 ea)

Savannah Bee 100% Beeswax for Hand & Nail Salve

Newco from Canada for Eye & Neck Serum for $5 - def want to try that out

She essential beauty Sugar Scrub in Lavendar-Lemongrass

MegaFlax Immune - apparently good for you. hehe. I'll prob add these to cookie recipes or something

The dark chocolates were free with purchase. I'm not much of a fan tho.

Testing out the Lavera Make-Up Fluid in No. 2 LightBlended in.

They had a Zadro vanity mirror for $20 and they're usually pretty expensive. Unfortunately I already have one that I bought from Sally's beauty for like $59. Sigh.. should've waited!! All in all, not bad. Sometimes it pays to work here. haha.

I can't wait to try all these products for sure, but I'm almost hesitant to write reviews on these bc i don't think these items are easily accessible. =/ Anyways, thank you everyone for your comments in last post. I am definitely taking them into consideration for blog suggestions. =) I'll try to find a way to mute the music, but I have a feeling there wouldn't be one. Then again, what's the point of having music if I'm going to mute it. haha.

What I do when I go to other ppl's site is just pause the music first thing then read the entry. Sometimes I like to listen to other ppl's blog music too bc 1st, it does show what type of personality they have; 2nd I'm always looking for new songs to add to my ipod and I've come across some of the best ones through beauty bloggers - one in particular who has excellent taste in music - Miss NuNuDoll. She'd be the first person I go to find new music cause I haven't been disappointed in her song choices yet. =)

I did, however, take out alot of pop songs that may be too loud and kept the soothing ones behind. I don't want to take the whole music down bc frankly I love music. It's in my blood and it represents me as a whole. My blog wouldn't be complete without it =D

Anyways I am truly touched tho by everyone's comments and definitely felt loved so thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Good luck to everyone who's entering! =)

i agree, music represents the soul! i'm glad there's a compromise xD i can be un-lazy for a moment to click pause before the page loads.

Wow, great haul! I love the packaging on the flax hahaha.

I think one of my biggest issues with music on webpages is that I almost always browse using tabs... and I know a lot of people who browse the way I do. If I open up 10 or more tabs, there's a good chance one of those is playing music on the page... then I don't know which one it is and have to search through all the pages (esp when it's at the bottom of the page! this bugs me most!) to turn it off. It's even worse when two peoples' pages start playing different songs at the same time. It's somewhat irritating because I usually am already playing my own music, and it's super embarassing if music starts blaring from my laptop at work. I usually solve this by just muting my computer entirely and not listening to *any* music while I browse... but then when I want to watch a YT video and turn on my sound, then sometimes there's like, 2 or 3 different things playing and it takes me 10 minutes to figure out where it's coming from... or I just give up and don't watch the video.

Maybe you could find a player that allows the reader to turn it on?

    Nice! Yay for employee discounts.

Heheh, I didn't even know you had music on your blog until I read your comment on this post. I have my speakers turned off all the time unless I want to listen to something.

i dont know about u girls.. but i can only read one blog at a time.. haha.. so it's a non issue with music when i just hit pause and read on.. it's almost instinct really even when i open a new page, i look for wehther or not the blog has music first, then mute and read on.

i still value everyone's opinion of course but i agree, music is to my soul =)

Wow, nice work haul! I wish my work had nice perks like that. ;D

I usually pause people's songs too, but only cuz I can't think when music starts blasting. Haha.

    What a cool company!!

I ALWAYS have my sound muted, and turn it on specifically to listen to things--otherwise, very embarassing in front of clients!

seriously? that's such a good deal for those products!
do those chocolates have different flavours? somehow dark chocolate leaves my teeth feeling gritty..yuck!
i've been taking the omega fish oil capsules at night last year whenever i remember. i always thought it'll do well for my skin haha, but now i have a better reason to remember to take them..cuz i wear contacts too. too bad the bottle i have is expiring before i get back hehe

YOU GET TO HAUL AT WORK?!!?! haha At my job the only hauling we do is like food. haha So it isn't as fun!!! You're so lucky! Deff do a review on that neck serum, I am on the search for the perfect one. My mom thinks I am getting a little paranoid now with all the anti aging products, but seriously it gets so addicting! And yay thank you for the compliment, I feel like famous that you mentioned me! :D xox
